I seem to be stumbling across, being taken to, or hearing about new and lovely cafes in Hackney nearly every day now. It is actually getting mildly ridiculous. Here is a list of ones I have and have not visited. More as a reference to myself than anything else. I like them more if they serve a decent breakfast.
Jones Dairy, 23 Ezra Street
Tina, We Salute You, 47 King Henry’s Walk
Wilton’s Cafe, 63 Wilton Way
Mouse & De Lotz, 103 Shacklewell Lane
Climpson & Sons, 67 Broadway Market
The Hackney Pearl, 11 Prince Edward Road
The Gallery Cafe, 21 Old Ford Road
Railroad, 120-122 Morning Lane
Taste of Bitter Love, Currently relocating and opening again soon…
Creperie du Monde, Chatsworth Road
There’s also the Fat Cat Cafe on Stoke Newington Church Street where I had some great pancakes last week. It doesn’t seem to really exist online though. Perhaps that’s not what it’s called..?
Any other suggestions?
Disclaimer: I am also a fan of a proper greasy-spoon-esque type cafe, but am a stickler for loyalty when it comes to that sort of thing and you will only ever find me in, or recommending Z Cafe on Stoke Newington High Street. The above are for like, posh brunch.
